The problem
Students were losing study time in crowded campus bookstore lines, just to buy notes, stationery and medical supplies. The bookstores wanted to sell through one app without giving up their own catalogue and prices.
What we built
Every bookstore is its own tenant, with its own catalogue, staff and wallet. Students order in the StudyLink app on Google Play and the App Store, and one checkout splits into a shipment per bookstore, each picked up or delivered.
Deliveries go out to couriers as an offer over SignalR and push. In ranged mode the search widens from 5 to 50 km until someone takes it, and the first courier to accept gets the order. Couriers work from their own Flutter app, and an order refused at the door blocks that student at those bookstores.
Inside the system
- Orders run from pending to delivered, or to ready for pickup, with cash on delivery capped per bookstore.
- Commission per bookstore, wallets and withdrawal requests, and a job that books every bookstore’s payout on the 1st of the month.
- Promo codes: fixed, percentage or free delivery, with usage limits, a minimum order, first-order-only and dates.
- Every data change audited with its old and new values.
- Bookstore dashboards in Arabic and English, with revenue, top sellers and order status.
